About the Workshop

Research Methodology & Thesis Writing plays vital role for research work. Current Research Work & Recent tremendous technical advances in processing power, storage capacity, and interconnectivity is creating unprecedented quantities of digital data. Data mining, the science of extracting useful knowledge from such huge data repositories, has emerged as a young and interdisciplinary field in computer science. Data mining techniques have been widely applied to problems in Industry, Science, Engineering and Government, and it is widely believed that data mining will have profound impact on our society. The growing consensus that data mining can bring real value has led to an explosion in demand for novel data mining technologies and for researchers who are trained in data mining, who have an understanding of data mining techniques, can apply them to real-life problems, and are trained for research and development of new data mining methods.

Contents of the Workshop

The objective of this workshop is to provide an in-depth technical foundation to the development and implementation of sound Business intelligence, data mining strategies & Research Methodology. In particular, it will provide participants with the knowledge, tools and resources required to meet the needs of the “Technical Measures” within the organizations knowledge management framework. This workshop is suitable for undergraduates as well as post graduate students, research fellow, academicians, IT professionals, experienced statistician, business analyst and functional managers. It includes hands-on sessions on the mentioned topics using data mining tools like WEKA, XL-Miner, Tanagra, Data Preparator, originlab, R-GUI, Sipina, Rapid Miner, Orange & Data Warehouse Creation, Processing and Browsing.

Give the answer of the following questions: What is principle of mathematical induction? Explain types of it. Also what is need of those PM’s'? What do you understand by strong principle of mathematical induction? How it is different from mathematical induction? Give an example of a statement where you require strong principle of mathematical induction. Prove the following using weak pmi: Prove that integer bigger than 2 have prime factorization. Define: The principle of mathematical induction. Also prove for any string x and n>=0 REV (xy) =REV(y) REV(x). Strong PMI: Suppose p(n) is a statement involving an integer n, then to prove that p(n) is true for every n>= n 0 it is sufficient to show two thing. P(n 0 ) is true For any k>=n 0 , if p (n) is true, for every n satisfying n 0 <=n<=k then p (k+1) is true. Prove the following using strong pmi: For any n>=2, n is either prime or product...
